So what does Tommy need in his climbing rope? Lightweight, durable, easy handling, dry treated, middle marker and eco-conscious. You get that all wrapped up in the neat package of the Tommy Caldwell Eco Dry DT 9.6mm . This climbing rope has a high sheath percentage which makes it more durable and enough to tackle big walls, working sport routes and definitely Aussie multi-pitches. But is also light enough for either hard sport climb sends or to reduce weight on fast and light rock or alpine climbs. It's really the top performer in the "all round" climbing category. 

The Tommy Caldwell Eco Dry DT "DuoTec" permanent middle marking with half the rope one braid pattern and half the other. It is made on a 48 bobbin braiding machine meaning that the sheath has a fine and tight weave with a higher thread count. This increases the durability of the rope despite the 9.6mm diameter as well as making it more supple and better to handle. The dry treatment is PFC free and is one of the reasons, amongst meany others that give it the BlueSign tick of approval for eco-conscious manufacturing.
