Rollerblade's Twister Edge model is arguably the quintessential inline skate. 

The moulded boot creates edges like no other, aesthetically crisp whilst reducing weight. The anatomical fit is excellent, with the liner and shell hugging the foot comfortably. The body includes an anti-torsion box, an inbuilt component that reduces the flexion, making the skate exceptionally responsive. Aluminium plates and lateral sliders are built directly into the frame attachment area to increase power transfer, giving an overall impression of precision. 

The extruded aluminium 4x80mm 243mm frame lowers the overall weight and works with the plates to enhance responsivity. Rollerblade has included a quality 80mm wheel, ensuring a good balance between speed, grip and durability. Twincam ILQ 7 Plus bearings, which use Japanese Kyodo grease, reduce unwanted grit.

Rollerblade gave ventilation significant thought, emphasized by the v-shaped liner. Impressive cushioning found in "pressure" areas keep the foot snug but cooled. A heel pad is included for shock absorption when required.

What's not to like about the Rollerblade Twister Edge Skates? 
We are inclined to say nothing! Some people report that they fit slightly small, but going one half to one size up doesn't seem to impact the "look down" of the skate and works very well. The build is compact but designed to accommodate different foot widths and dimensions very well.

What's the difference between the Twister Edge and Twister Edge X skates? The twister edge x has significant upgrades to the Hydrogen wheels, Twincam ILQ9 Classic Plus bearings and includes a new anatomical transfer footbed with additional support and shock absorption.

Size tip
The Twister skates are using a new style liner which is a little thicker than the previous Twister skates. This is making the skate feel a little small. We'd recommend buying 0.5-1 sizes up from your regular size and allowing yourself sufficient time to 'bed-in' the liner.
